TRUST AND STORIES ARE SHORT ANDand stories are short and with most a The Color of a Leader page long or less The longest are aages long Accounts about the same or similar events were grouped together making for a smooth read I love to read first hand accounts of history so I really liked this book It s refreshing to read the experiences of normal Into the Planet people and not just soldiers either but also school children nurses and others I now have a few things to research that I didn t know about before such as the sinking of the City of Benares child transportAlso I was interested in one of the WWI accounts that was very similar to a scene in the movie 1917 involving a soldier taking some milk and later giving it to a woman who was caring for a baby I can t help but think the scene was inspired by that soldier s accountI do sort of wish the WWI and WWII accounts were separated into two halves but separating them by chapter wasn t the worst thing eve.
